Ron and Cynthia's '56 displayed
on the Member's Pride section of The Classic Chevy International
car magazine. The following paragraphs were written and displayed
under the image of their car:
"This 1956 Chevy Belair sport
coupe was assembled in Oakland, CA in August 1955. It was purchased
in SF by a young girl who kept it until 1995 when we were lucky
enough to buy it.
It has a Powerglide and the original
265 engine with 179,000 miles on it. The purchase price in 1956
was $2,657.31 that included optional features and the unusual
colors of Pinecrest and Sherwood Green.
In just over a year, it has been
used on the set of a new Ron Howard film Inventing the Abbots,
and has been in several local news articles. With the help of
CCI, restoring the interior and rebuilding the engine are in our
plans for the future. Until then, we enjoy cruisin the boulevard!"
