Well, if you’d talked with me 6 years ago I’d never have thought I’d be back into cars, but lucky me I met the gal of my dreams and married 5 years ago.

Thankfully she went along with my desire to attend as many car shows and swap meets as I could get to.

Three years ago we found a Ford Fairlane for sale right here in Sonoma - Needed some redoing but could get us into car shows, which lead us to joining CNCC.

The first year we completed the seat covers, which were ordered from back East. We have a friend who did upholstery, but did not do cars, but he did give us some help with the springs & framework.

We both put a lot of work into cleaning the Fairlan. Last winter, we had Sonoma County Street Rodz put in a remanufactured engine from Marshall Engines for us. Between our lack of garage space and my age I can’t do the big stuff anymore, but thanks to Jeff, the owner of Sonoma County Street Rodz, we got our new engine.

The taxman willing - we’ll start redoing the suspension this winter. Our dream is to cover parts of Route 66 in the near future. Happy motoring to all!
